Ashley and Jason

As the year closes, I find myself thinking back to all of the wondeful couples I was able to work with throughout this past year.
That said, I had way too much fun planning with Ashley and Jason O'Neal. They got married on November 11, 2006 at the beautiful Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes. Tami Corday is always so easy and so much fun to work with over there and really enhances that Ritz Carlton "personal service" mantra!"
We giggled and had so much fun throughout their entire engagement, it was a wonder we were able to get serious enough to actually get them married!
The stunning images are by award-winning photographer Jeff Hawkins. It was amazing to see how he captutred so many telling images of the couple, the details and the party! He is the consummate professional.
Michael Fabbiani had this party jumping all night and even arranged the great "group photo" shot you see above. I'm never disappointed when I call Michael to DJ, and always find myself on the dance floor as well...
Jason Keene and Randy Lowe with Lowe and Behold were truly able to get Ashley and Jason's desire for a classy and contemporary look throughout the room, and chocolate and pink prevailed!
We joked that we'll have to renew their vows just to have us all work and hang out together again. We'll always have the "screening party" we talked about when we get to relive the day through Mark LeGrand's masterful video...
Here's to love, laughter and happily ever after for Mr. and Mrs. O'Neal!

The Daily Buzz

Our Winter Wedding Trends segment for "The Daily Buzz" is rapidly approaching! The segment is scheduled to air on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 6:20 & 8:20AM. Apparently, it was so well received by the producers that it will replay on January 1, 2007!
This segment will feature stylish trends and concepts brought to the life by my number one design team, Brian and Richard of Flourish Floral Productions and Lindsey Luxa of Dragonfly Custom Design. On hand helping me to look like a rock star was Garrett Nudd, Jeffrey Stoner and Dale Dees. Featuring a fabulous Wedding Gown by Solutions Bridal in Winter Park alongside Garrett's artful images really highlighted the trends I was trying to get across.
I feel so lucky to be allowed the opportunity to offer my ideas to such a broad audience, and to work along side the best of the best in this industry. None of this could ever be done alone, and I am truly only the "messenger!" To all of you there that day: thank you, and Holiday cheer to all...

Holiday Martini

Since the "Flavours" page has been replaced with the blog on my website, I cannot disappoint the need for the martini recipes. The seasonal martinis became quite a hit, and this Holiday Martini is sure not to disappoint. Many of you know my fearless sidekick Nancy who is not only the best as far as girlfriends go, but a fabulous public relations partner and wedding coordinator. She has extremely discriminating taste when it comes to our martinis, and this one is compliments of her:
Pear Martini with Lemon and Rosemary:
Ingredients:
Rosemary Syrup
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
4- 4 inch Rosemary Sprigs
Martini
1 750-ml bottle premium vodka. (I'm partial to Grey Goose!)
5 tbsp fresh lemon juice
3 tbsp Clear Pear Brandy (such as Poire Willaims
12 ice cubes
12 small Rosemary Sprigs
Preparation
For Rosemary Syrup:
Bring sugar and water to boil in small saucepan, stirring to dissolve sugar. Add rosemary sprigs. (This makes your whole house smell fabulous!) Reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes. Cool mixture completely and discard rosemary.
For Martini: Mix rosemary syrup, vodka, lemon juice and brandy in large pitcher. Cover pitcher with plastic wrap and place in freezer until mixture is cold, about 3 hours. Pour mixture over ice filled shaker and shake! Garnish each glass with a rosemary sprig.
It's definitely for a crowd, and what better excuse to throw a Holiday soiree?!
As always, party with style, but more importantly-party responsibly...

Cheers!

Lisa's new blog!

A blog? Really?! For those of you who know me well enough, you know that sending an email used to be a computer challenge to me! Alas, I am thrilled to now have a blog where I can post the most fantastic happenings in the world of Weddings and Special Events, the insanely talented group of people I get to work with on a day to day basis and of course, my outstanding family. It's true, Marc, (husband) Sara (oldest daughter) and Carolina (youngest daughter) are the 3 coolest people I know, and one day I hope to be half as cool as they are!
Well, we are smack in the middle of the Holiday Season with some very exciting things buzzing around us. I have just had a spot on NBC-Universal's i Village Live! which can be viewed on their website, along with some tips to read, www.ivillagelive.com, a fabulous Winter Wedding trend segment coming up on The Daily Buzz on 12/27/06 and rerun on 1/1/07, Winter Park's Festival on Park Avenue that I have had the pleasure of coordinating there for each Thursday of the Holiday season and the upcoming wedding of Darnita and Bryan in Downtown Orlando on New Year's Eve!
You may think that many working, married mothers such as myself wear many hats...I just wear many shoes...
Stay tuned and subscribe, I would love to have you along for the ride!!
Cheers!
