A "Signature" Favor

I am frequently asked by my couples what they can put in hospitality bags that are "signature" or unique. A known advocate for a welcome or hospitality bag over a wedding favor {as these are shown} I think this idea is darling!
Certainly this requires some production, but the "fruits of your labor" will be well worth the oooh's and ahhh's! This couple gave "tattooed" apples from an orchard as favors; the unripened fruit had been covered with stickers, and then left to turn red in the sun. {* as seen on Real Weddings/Martha Stewart* } Many of us in our real lives, understandably, may be unable to pull this off which is why I believe affixing the stickers the already ripened apples will achieve a similar and lovely look~ What a delightful way to say "Welcome and Thank You!" xoxo

Ombre Wedding Design

I've been consumed lately incorporating an ombre color palette in event design lately. Can you blame me? A little hesitant at first, I thought it was mainly for the "contemporary" aesthetic. Untrue! Look how the aisle represents the modern and the table flowers represent the classic. Love the versatility!

Friday's Chic Style Sheet: June 27, 2008

Pimp you pooch!

I am a self-confessed, goofy and ridiculous lover of dogs...

The proud owner of two "pound puppies" myself, I would have been so thrilled to have one of my dogs be a part of my wedding. Our 16-year old Sally, after all, was an engagement present to ourselves back in the day!

"Man's {Ha! Women too!} Best Friend is indeed just that and, when allowed, make such a special memory when incorporated into your wedding day.

Some have the personality to actually "perform" in the ceremony and serve as a ring bearer or flower girl.

No worries if "pooch" gets stage fright-they make the best eye candy!! These amazing images from Martha Stewart and Liz Banfield highlight how your pup can actually be your best accessory!

I encourage you to check with your venue to see if this can be an option for you. Here locally, we have The Portofino Bay Hotel which is dog friendly and you can see happy {and spoiled!} doggies out and about throughout the property. Love it!

Tomorrow, at the wedding of Laura and Matt, we will have extra doggie treats on hand for Goose! {Matt's Black Lab ring-bearer!} In this instance, Lake Nona Golf and Country Club were more than happy to accommodate Goose--

Don't forget favors or treats for your dog-lover friends. We can make even those look incredibly chic!

Friday's Chic Style Sheet

"Fashion fades, only style remains the same." ~ Coco Chanel

Today is the start of something new for me here...

I have been long wanting to highlight some great products and services that can directly translate into the world of weddings and fetes alike.

My intention is to bring these fun and stylish morsels to you on a weekly basis, so here it goes!

The sales representative (Thanks Amy!) for Romero Designs contacted me today regarding a line of custom made, fine jewelry. They have been recently featured in Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine and In Style.

Their distinct, personalized gifts can be perfect for the bridal party, parents of the couple and even a memorable gift for the bride and groom.

I specifically love the necklaces with the picture and the bling...!

As one who prefers to advocate gifts with "meaning and purpose," I most identified with the artist's, (Tami Romero Hatter) description of her designs: "Romero Designs capture the unique spirit that live within all of us."

I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did-

Happy Friday!
