Holiday Martini

Since the "Flavours" page has been replaced with the blog on my website, I cannot disappoint the need for the martini recipes. The seasonal martinis became quite a hit, and this Holiday Martini is sure not to disappoint. Many of you know my fearless sidekick Nancy who is not only the best as far as girlfriends go, but a fabulous public relations partner and wedding coordinator. She has extremely discriminating taste when it comes to our martinis, and this one is compliments of her:
Pear Martini with Lemon and Rosemary:
Ingredients:
Rosemary Syrup
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
4- 4 inch Rosemary Sprigs
Martini
1 750-ml bottle premium vodka. (I'm partial to Grey Goose!)
5 tbsp fresh lemon juice
3 tbsp Clear Pear Brandy (such as Poire Willaims
12 ice cubes
12 small Rosemary Sprigs
Preparation
For Rosemary Syrup:
Bring sugar and water to boil in small saucepan, stirring to dissolve sugar. Add rosemary sprigs. (This makes your whole house smell fabulous!) Reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes. Cool mixture completely and discard rosemary.
For Martini: Mix rosemary syrup, vodka, lemon juice and brandy in large pitcher. Cover pitcher with plastic wrap and place in freezer until mixture is cold, about 3 hours. Pour mixture over ice filled shaker and shake! Garnish each glass with a rosemary sprig.
It's definitely for a crowd, and what better excuse to throw a Holiday soiree?!
As always, party with style, but more importantly-party responsibly...

Cheers!
