Real Wedding Video Highlight- Patti & Danny at The Ritz Carlton

What's black and white, and chic all over? Why, the wedding of childhood and family sweethearts Patti and Danny, of course! I was like a kid in a candy shop planning the details with patti of her chic, yet traditional, back and white wedding at The Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes, Orlando. The details, big and small, made such an emotional and visual impact! Love, love, LOVE! xoxo

Real Weddings- Childhood Sweethearts & Destined to Be Together

This past weekend, I had the greatest fortune and honor to experience one of the most touching love stories formally unfold before me.. Patti Rego and Daniel Chapman were seemingly destined to be together forever. With a long, beautiful story of their parents befriending each other in Spain through their college years, only to maintain and nourish a friendship and bond between the families that would see them through their respective marriages, children, families and the like. In my career, I cannot recall feeling so inherently moved by such circumstances, not only because they merely exist as facts, but because everything {and I mean everything}was so incredibly authentic. I am still on my "warm fuzzy-high!" and cannot wait to see formal images and video from my perfectly picked photographer and videographer, Garrett Nudd and Jeffrey Stoner. I wish you all a love like Patti and Danny's ... xoxo

Pretty Wedding Details- A Modern, Sexy Cake!

I loved the look of this wedding cake that we had at a wedding at The Ritz Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes ---

The couple was very contemporary and sleek with great fashion sense, and I believe this cakes suited their style perfectly.

The brown on one half and the white on the other is very mod, and I dressed the table with this, dare I say, sexy linen from Wildflower Linen. I gave the table some "umph" by putting a couple of layers of crinoline underneath to offer it some volume ...

That's one, sexy cake!

Sophistication, Glamour & Joy- A Ritz Carlton, Orlando Grande Lakes Wedding

This wedding was full of joy, and I was so delighted and proud to be a part of it-

All of the elements of a beautiful wedding were there: sophistication, glamour, amazing shoes {!!!} and the like, but I most especially loved the celebration of it all.

As in any and all wedding planning, this wedding required an extraordinary amount of care, planning and attention to detail. With delight, I was especially pleased to see the fun, laughing and dancing throughout the evening.

I wish this lovely couple, Relin and Michael a lifetime of joy and "1,000 blessings."

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words ...Wedding Moments in Time

Amongst the millions reasons extraordinary, quality images captured by seasoned and experienced photographers are invaluable is the ability to literally and figuratively "freeze" time with one swift snap of the shutter.

While perusing the countless images I have for the weddings I have designed, I keep getting pulled to this stirring photograph by Garrett Nudd of the exquisite Jacqueline London and her mother as they made their way down the corridor to the chapel and ceremony.

I knew of their unyielding mother-daughter bond, but looking at this makes me pleasantly wonder...

What was said? What were they thinking? What were they FEELING?

Pride? Joy? Love?

I'm thinking ALL of the above!

Anatomy of a Wedding- Furniture Rental

Of all of the many details that can go into designing a wedding environment, one of my favorites has to be incorporating furniture whenever and wherever I can.

During the first dance, after dinner and during the dancing, a comfortable and beautiful furniture grouping can make all the difference in look and vibe.

The grouping below was designed in collaboration with AFR Furniture Rental for a wedding at The Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes, Orlando.

Central Florida vendors: Don't miss the AFR Event Furnishings Networker: History Happening on August 18th! I can't wait to see what they have in store for us!

Wedding Moments- "Her Heart Belongs to Daddy."

He sees her for the first time as a bride.

He releases her in confidence to her love.

He rejoices with her as they celebrate a new life ...

(and as I understand, a new one, baby Emmie is on the way at any moment)

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

"A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words ..." Wedding Moments in Time

Knowles Chapel in Winter Park, Florida, July 31, 2010:

Natasha Recksielder and I are captured moments before the church doors were thrown open to herald her procession towards her husband, Louis Cianfrogna.

This day was long and eagerly awaited by the couple, family and friends. I was in deep thought and gratitude and I wonder ...what was Natasha thinking about in this very moment?

"A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words..." Wedding Moments in Time

I love the editorial, "Sex & The City" vibe this image offers, and a clear representation of how I absolutely adore and cherish my work. Working with beauties such as Jackie on the most special day of her life makes everything so incredibly worth while...

Tanya Carroll, 'er Eledmire was a bride I shall never soon forget!

Now very proud to call her my friend, we met approximately one year prior to her wedding date to begin the process of designing her wedding.

It never felt like work with Tanya and I was just so pleased to see the love and compatability she shared with her fabulous husband, Carl.

Jokingly, we call each other "diva" though there was never such behavior...;)

Her amazing team consisted of the enviable The Ritz Carlton, J.R. Sterling, Jeffrey Stoner Video, Flowers of Winter Park, DJ Carl and the one and only Dale Dees.

See you real soon, friend!

Wedding Video Trailer: Tanya & Carl Eldemire

As challenging as it remains for me to appropriately describe the look, mood and sound of Tanya and Carl's wedding this past Saturday, I am so grateful to not have to rely on my vocabulary! Instead, I have the opportunity to present the most touching moments in 2 breathtaking minutes...

It is, in my opinion, such a rewarding investment to enhance your wedding video with a "teaser trailer." Presented on line by Jeffrey Stoner a mere 24 hours after the wedding, friends and family can share and reminisce your finest moments on your finest day. Jeffrey even gave Tanya specific instructions on how to load it to her Facebook page! Gotta' love technology--

Here, you will see what Saturday meant to Tanya & Carl Eldemire, their family, friends...and even team! We all adored this couple so much--this day, and all it's glory could not have been more well deserved.

UNBRIDLED: My favorite wedding friends like...Kristy Chenell!

As promised, my new blog-series "Unbridled" officially launches with my first guest/friend, Kristy Chenell.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all of these wedding industry Q&A's and in-depth interviews.
Let's get to the nitty-gritty questions "E Events" style, shall we...?

I know Kristy Chenell as an energetic leader, salesperson, entrepreneur and friend. Most of us know what a consummate professional she is. For those of you who don't, {and who are you??} Kristy is a Wedding Business Consultant and owner of Couture Consulting by Chenell, and one of the leading experts in the wedding industry. She speaks and hosts intimate wedding business workshops around the country, focusing on the importance of brand recognition and protection in relation to all aspects of business: marketing, sales, customer experience, and financial acumen.
Kristy’s experience ranges from Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings to The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company where she was one of six people in the country to sit on The Ritz-Carlton Corporate Wedding Advisory Board. She was intricately involved with both corporations wedding websites and understands the significance of highly regarded branded weddings.

Now I want us all to know the REAL Kristy...
Here 'ya go:

Itching to work with: You again :)

Fashion Obsessions: Ruffles, Bows, and Pearls. Bet you couldn’t guess that one.

Beauty must-haves: Sunscreen and Lip Gloss

Office/Work must haves: my Dalmatian, Ellie, at my feet, a lit candle, and an old piece of crumply paper that reads:

“I only surround myself with people who can do the impossible.”
by Elizabeth Arden (has travelled to many offices with me!)

Speed dialing: Scott, my husband. Seriously…what would I do without him?

Can’t get enough of: Twilight…well, I should say Edward. I recently asked Scott if he thinks he could get his hair to do that. Yum!

Jonesing to: go back to Europe. No computer, no cell phone, no communication except for thinking we’re ordering steak when it’s really cow brains.

Current work project:
The Wedding Summit: Orlando! A very intimate, hands-on wedding business workshop – www.theweddingsummit.com. You walk away with a clear brand and how to use it to your EVERY advantage out there! An investment not to be overlooked.

Oh, and writing a book with the Executive Chef of The Ritz-Carlton,
Denver. Website and blog to be revealed soon!

Current personal project: Learning to mountain bike – on really big mountains – Yikes.

Necessary extravagance: Fresh food. Organic dairy and meat products.

If I weren’t a consultant I would: be a professional waterskiier. Oh, yeah – that’s making the big bucks.

• In my bag: Orbitz vanilla mint, bobby pins, cherry lip gloss, and a power bar – sometimes the wallet is in there and sometimes its not. I switch purses quite a bit and have a slight tendency to forget that little detail :). That’s not good as I get carded everywhere.

Recent discovery: That life is not about how many outfits hang in your closet, how fancy your car is, or how big your diamond is. It’s about making the pictures that hang on your wall…not buying them.

Oh, and that if you fly Southwest and need to change your flight, as long as there is no difference in price they only charge you $2.50 – no matter the day or time!

Craving: lavender chocolate. It’s romantic and relaxing. OK, time for me to speed dial Scott… :)

*Fun, fearless and frivolous flashbacks*
{Please share 3 personal memories between you and I}
1. Looking at each other right before taking the stage at Down the Aisle: Orlando and knowing we were about to make it one of the best nights of our lives.
2. Screaming on the phone with you when we found out Austin Scarlett wanted to work with us.
3. The moment I saw you in Denver. It was like a piece of home had arrived and you brought tears to my eyes. I was so excited to work with you again. What an intricate role you have had in my endeavors and I am so grateful to know you.

Wedding Video Highlights- Kirby and Jesse Filar

One of my favorite enhancements in video documentary is the highlight montage. In mere minutes, these cinematic moments encapsulate and re-tell the story of your wedding day from your perspective and from the perspective of your guests.

After all, you cannot possibly see and experience every reaction, tear and laugh all alone! Besides, you should only have the simple task of looking radiant and poised the entire day, just as sweet Kirby and her dashing husband, Jesse did-

My gratitude goes out to Jeffrey Stoner who is always so willing to share his talent and time in an effort to share your moments and love...
