Oscar Party Tips on "The Daily Buzz" with Lisa Konecny and Ian Prosser
As I lightheartedly joked, {reality: I was serious!} The "Oscar Party" held on the evening of the prestigious award show is really OUR "Super Bowl!"
I was delighted with our opportunity yesterday morning to present simple and chic ideas on how to throw your own Oscar Party at home on "The Daily Buzz."
My ideas were for the cozy, intimate PJ party at home with flair and fun. {That's exactly how I intend on spending my Sunday snuggled on the couch with my fingers crossed!} I featured a fun Bingo game found on the fun blog: "How about Orange"
Ian presented chic linen, centerpieces and fun ways to have your own Red-Carper soiree as he has done in the past. Branjelina: watch out!

Wanna' get "Buzzed" with me next Monday?

I just got off the phone with Kia Malone from The Daily Buzz finalizing the details for our upcoming segment scheduled for this Monday, May 12, 2008. I'll keep you all posted on the actual time, but for now I do know we are planning a "Lust-Must" segment using Jenna Bush's pending nuptials this Saturday in Texas.
***UPDATE*** I have just been notified that the segment will air LIVE at 7:45 AM. This may compromise the Orlando schedule as it airs later at the 10:00 AM hour...
I can tell you so far that I have famed floral international floral designer, Ian Prosser, owner of Botanica International Design Studio designing for the {LIVE!} segment.
I thought this was a fun way to introduce some design concepts on a "lust" level and highlight some lovely concepts on a more realistic, affordable "must level...

Go Green-or- Go Home
Going "green" is such a welcomed trend, and one I feel I have been incorporating into weddings more and more in the past year.
Is this a trend or is it now a way of life?
"Going Green" has become somewhat of a social responsibility, but what about the rest of us *divas* who want to do the right thing, but still have a desire to maintain our sense of style and personality?
Yesterday morning was spent with the cameras and talent of The Daily Buzz who were gracious enough to ask for me to put together a "Green Weddings" segment. Always flattered, I did have one stipulation for mega-watt talent anchor-at-large, Kia Malone.
Please,oh, please let's not alienate those of us who can embrace the many opportunities for going green without having to do it "all or nothing!"
On board, she was eager to see what we had in store for her, and I cherished some of the positive reactions she had to what is now available-
What are you willing to sacrifice and what can you just not live without? Truth be told, I need to have my real diamonds and a smashing ensemble. On the other hand, I would be more than willing to consider an organic menu, no favors, (less waste) alternative floral decor and much more. Especially after what I saw what can be done...
Tommy Murphy and his stellar design crew at Greenery Productions played host to this remote (taped yesterday, and to air on April 21st) and helped us purvey the many stylish alternatives to design with class and conscience.
Enhancements like invitations made from completely recycled paper, real leaves and stones for escort cards were creatively fabricated by Amy Morelli with 2u Collection. Additional research of her own revealed that many of her paper sources were Operation Green themselves; how gratifying!
Our specific time on the 21st has yet to be determined, but you can email me for updates-
Until then, this is what a team effort looks like after an extensive (and environmentally friendly!) television shoot.

The Daily Buzz goes "Green" & "Down the Aisle"

Tune in to The Daily Buzz tomorrow to see 2 live segments I am doing with Kia Malone on Green (Eco-friendly) and Cultural (Indian) weddings and a sneak peek into our upcoming bridal fashion show, "Down the Aisle" at The Ritz Carlton.
I'll share how going "green" can be quite chic and how a wedding I did for the loveliest couple and their families this past weekend has inspired me to reach out further into the Indian community. Their respect, tradition, customs and graciousness was palpable for my entire team that I would be remiss not to share how any couple can carry out their stylish and sincere style. You can get a glimpse into the wedding by some astonishing quick edit footage that was so carefully prepared by our friends at CVP.
Next, we prepare you for your journey "Down the Aisle" by featuring some dresses flown in by none other than Austin Scarlett of Kenneth Pool, and some other unexpected fun that only The Daily Buzz can offer!
The Daily Buzz is aired nationally from 6:00am-9:00am and from 9:00am-12:00pm in Orlando. These particular segments are scheduled to air at 7:45am and 8:20am or 10:45am and 11:20am respectively.
We just found the last 15 seconds of our last segment on You Tube...too much champagne excitement!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrjsI7iijG0

Dale Dees...the salon!

My numero uno pick for hair and makeup, Dale Dees has just opened his brand new salon today!
Dale is a World Champion Hair Designer who has been featured with me and independently on "The Daily Buzz," and I Village Live!"
Naturally, the next step for Dale was to open his very own salon where his loyal clientele can come for their regular "Dale addictions" and new clients and brides can go for trials and consults.
The above images illustrate Dale at work in the green room at "The Daily Buzz," just a couple of my stylish brides, the only person I would trust to cut off 12 inches of my daughter's hair (!!!) to donate to Locks of Love and special hug with a terrific friend.
Dale has such a fantastic soul and spirit, and is truly worthy of all of his success...I hope you will stop by and visit him; I know ALL of my brides will! :)

The Daily Buzz

Our Winter Wedding Trends segment for "The Daily Buzz" is rapidly approaching! The segment is scheduled to air on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 6:20 & 8:20AM. Apparently, it was so well received by the producers that it will replay on January 1, 2007!
This segment will feature stylish trends and concepts brought to the life by my number one design team, Brian and Richard of Flourish Floral Productions and Lindsey Luxa of Dragonfly Custom Design. On hand helping me to look like a rock star was Garrett Nudd, Jeffrey Stoner and Dale Dees. Featuring a fabulous Wedding Gown by Solutions Bridal in Winter Park alongside Garrett's artful images really highlighted the trends I was trying to get across.
I feel so lucky to be allowed the opportunity to offer my ideas to such a broad audience, and to work along side the best of the best in this industry. None of this could ever be done alone, and I am truly only the "messenger!" To all of you there that day: thank you, and Holiday cheer to all...
