Luck Comes in Three's: THIRD Announcement

Pinch me please as the luck seems to keep on coming!

The (well beyond I could have ever hoped for!) wildly successful event that I partnered and produced with The Ritz Carlton, "Down the Aisle" is heading to Denver, Colorado!!!

I am especially excited to have many of the same ingenues that made the event what it was last year including Austin Scarlett, lead designer and creative director for Kenneth Pool. We are using his designs exclusively this year and The Ritz Carlton Denver and I welcome him back to "Down the Aisle" with great enthusiasm.

How does one thank the talented people that helped me last year who didn't even think twice or blink an eye about supporting me once again on the other side of the country? I will tell you Kristy, Jeffrey, Awny, Carl and Lindsey: It is my personal mission to find out how--

Added to the roster this year: Garrett Nudd, Ryan Joseph and Ian Prosser!!!

The sweet faces above you may even recognize!

The show is scheduled for July 9, 2008 at The Ritz Carlton Denver. Creative, thoughtful and enticing plans are already underway and this is a great time indeed.

I wish you could all come and make it, but seats are definitely more limited at this property. If not, you know I am always eager to share...

Below, please enjoy viewing the video artfully produced by Jeffrey Stoner that opened the show last year. It truly grabbed our guests' attention within the first minutes of taking their seats and held their attention all night long...

Finally, you can experience "Down the Aisle" as if you were a guest last year! This video was compiled from those nail-biting hours prior to the show up until the very end...

Friday's Chic Style Sheet: May 16, 2008

I love the versatility offered now with regards to bridesmaids' dresses.

A bridesmaid today does not want to hear the old adage, "You can wear this dress again!"

These two particular companies maker certain that they can...

J Crew and Lula Kate now have specialized divisions in their respective fashion houses catering to bridal party attire. The fabric, styles and color options are inspiring and unmatched.

Being a gracious bride also means offering your attendants the flexibility to select a dress best suited for their personalities, personal style and figure.

Their comfort will be parlayed into confidence and ease which is another positive step in ensuring a flawless soiree!

Luck Comes in Three's: 2nd Announcement!

Remember that face above?!?

That is Brittany Sobering, and not only has she been my personal confidant at Solutions Bridal over the last 3 years, but she was also a bride of ours not too long ago! And we still love and support our great girlfriends at Solutions Bridal today and always!

Brittany's zest for fashion and style, the wedding industry and overall personal integrity have impressed me for some time now. It was just a matter of time before we made matters official..

Waiting for the most opportune moment, (and not even quite certain I achieved even that!) I leaned over to Brittany at some (probably poignant) point during her wedding and said, "You realize we need to talk when you return from your honeymoon; we're ready for you here!"

Mission accomplished!

Not only has Brittany agreed to join forces with my zany group of sassy Ladies, but she is personally assisting me with spearheading my new "baby," Escape...Luxury Destinations.

She has truly jumped in with both feet and ready to go. As I explained to her at our Cinco de Mayo team-meeting (hey, we all celebrate in different ways!) "That's how we roll..."

She's eager, ready, and most importantly, "gets it" with our team vision and values.

Welcome Brittany. You truly need no introduction though I am the one most proud to introduce you-

Personalized ribbon, boxes and paper...OH MY!!

These beautiful things seem to bring out the girliest side of me...

Like a child in a candy shop, browsing these websites (and having actually ordered from each of them!) is fun and inspiring. Trust me, when your order comes in it's even better! Midori Ribbon and Namemaker seem to always excite me with their product line.

Tasteful personalization is such a lovely gesture of refinement and attention to detail. I encourage you to not only invest in some items such as these for your special fete, but as standard protocol for your entertaining and gift-giving.

Careful: All of these things are so beautiful that it's easy to get carried away! There is a faint line between tasteful and tacky- I had to draw the line at some point myself!

Wanna' get "Buzzed" with me next Monday?

I just got off the phone with Kia Malone from The Daily Buzz finalizing the details for our upcoming segment scheduled for this Monday, May 12, 2008. I'll keep you all posted on the actual time, but for now I do know we are planning a "Lust-Must" segment using Jenna Bush's pending nuptials this Saturday in Texas.

***UPDATE*** I have just been notified that the segment will air LIVE at 7:45 AM. This may compromise the Orlando schedule as it airs later at the 10:00 AM hour...

I can tell you so far that I have famed floral international floral designer, Ian Prosser, owner of Botanica International Design Studio designing for the {LIVE!} segment.

I thought this was a fun way to introduce some design concepts on a "lust" level and highlight some lovely concepts on a more realistic, affordable "must level...

You can find more information on how and where to catch The Daily Buzz by visiting their website here.

VIDEO-PALOOZA!!

I believe I have exercised the most restraint required of me for a while now.

When colleague and good friend Jeffrey Stoner let me in on his plans to launch a new website and, even worse, show me a new demo that I couldn't share...well that was just frustrating!

Happily and with pride, I offer you a peek into just a snippet of what can be found on his new website. The new enhancement, albeit overhaul, is completely reflective of Jeffrey's personality and sensibilities. (Be sure to look at his bio where he lists interesting things about himself.)

The new head shots as well are right on! We consider Mark Pennington Jeffrey's long lost twin, and there was no better photographer suited for the job of capturing the "real Jeffrey"

Thanks to Jeffrey's tutorial on how to post video to my blog, I present you an intense, creative highlight clip that can be seen on his website from a wedding we were lucky enough to work together on this past November.

Congratulations, my friend!! Though I realize you are never "satisfied" and always agonizing on how to do/offer more, better, faster...

I think this is pretty darn perfect.

Organic Opulence; As interpreted by Jeffrey...

Ladies and Gentlemen: Please meet my friend Jeffrey...

Bling It On!

I have sped up this particular post (ahead of some other very long overdue ones!) largely in part because my favorite soul-sister, rock-star, diva photographer Amber Stanley with Amberlights Photography is ill and in the hospital. The phenomenal news is that I have just heard from her, and it seems as if she will be okay!

Many of you have been so gracious as to comment favorably on my website. My website has gotten huge props (As has Amber's) and that is due to the force behind it all, Chrissy Giddens-Trujillo with Bring the Bling. Come on! Can a wedding planner seriously go wrong with a web-guru who has the word "bling" in her company?!?

Well, Chrissy got married to LONG time (Seriously--a long time! Look at the picture from "Band Camp!) sweetheart Thane, and Amber and I had the distinct pleasure of coordinating and photographing their wedding.

What a blast with so many new memories! (And dance moves!) A beach wedding during a down pour can be a challenge, but Chrissy and Thane took everything in stride, had a great time and looked gorgeous the whole time. Look at Chrissy's crystal blue eyes!

Amber and I learned a thing or two also about our "fall-back" careers...

Having only each other for this "destination wedding," I learned I can hold a reflector while balancing in the water with a Shootsac slung around my shoulder for her "money shot," and she held her own wrangling the bridal party and moving chairs!

Forthcoming: Some more steamy, stylish and sexy "trash the dress" shoot from the day after. Hint, hint: Thane is a firefighter....!!!!

The bottom line for this post: "Bring the Bling" has found "Happily Ever After!"

Friday's Chic Syle Sheet: May 2, 2008

I have heard the phrase, "The Art of the Party" used quite often as you can imagine.

Its actually quite poignant given what I do for a living and what I have enjoy doing my entire life: entertaining-

I, for one, am so weary of hearing how bleak the economy is with even more dismal forecasts on the horizon.

Personally, I don't think that will change our need or desire to want to entertain guests or throw parties. Rather, I believe the need to do so and do so with flair and style is ever present, but in a more intimate setting.

Today, the "Art of the Party" is found through Social Couture. This fabulous website offers product, themes, tips, recipes and more to give you that boost for hosting your stylish soiree.

The particular images that I love above can be used in bridal showers, bridesmaids luncheons and rehearsal dinners.

Take a complete departure from your wedding design to have more fun with the options that are available to you. Trust me, as a "design" person with ADD this is perfect for me! I feel like I love EVERY style, how could I ever choose??

Often asked, "If you had to do it all over again, what "style" would you choose for yourself?"

**Phew!**

Now...I can have it all!!
